What are link templates?

It is possible that you will create presentations in which you want to add the same link multiple times to every slide. For instance, linking a company logo with your website or a home-icon with the main menu.

Instead of creating the links one by one, you can use a link template and assign it to several slides. This way a link will be added with the same destination and position to each slide you select.

How to use link templates?

Presentation → Edit presentation → Create new template

Go to a presentation and click “Edit” on one of the slides where you would like to add a link template. Find the template icon at the top-right corner above the presentation canvas, then click “Create new template”.

Enter the template name in the pop-up window, then click “Save”. A yellow bar should appear at the top of the screen. As long as this bar is visible, the template can be edited.

Presentation → Edit presentation → Add → Links

Now, you can add the link and set up the required destination. The link will take the exact same position on every slide that you add to the template. Once everything is set, click “Done” on the yellow bar above.

3. Assign the slides

Presentation → Settings → Link templates

In order to add the template to more slides, you need to go back to the slide overview in the presentation. Just click on the “Back” icon (arrow pointing left).

From the slide overview, select “Settings” and then “Link templates”. In this menu, you can see a list of all link templates used in a presentation.

Click on “Assign” and assign the template to the slides you like. It is possible to assign it to a whole column by one click, just select the check mark on the top of the column.

Click on “Save” when you are done.
