Shaman's supported web-browsers will request authorization to allow access to your -audio and video to be able to start or join remote meetings. When prompted, choose Allow or Block.

Allowed sites: Sites can start to record when you're on the site. If you're using a different Chrome tab or a different app, a site can't start recording.

Blocked sites: Some sites won't work if you block them. For example, you won't be able to join a video conference

Change a site's camera and microphone permissions

Google Chrome

Open your Chrome browser. At the top right, click customize and control Google settings icon.

Click Settings

then under 'Privacy and security', click Site settings.

Click Camera or Microphone. Toggle Ask before accessing on or off.

To remove an existing exception or permission, click camera or microphone then to the right of the site, click Delete.

iPAD Safari

If you chose the wrong option when joining a remote meeting through your iPad, just check your Safari browser settings.

Make sure that the permission settings for your camera and microphone is either on Ask or Allow.

Go back to the link and join again, and make sure to choose the correct option when prompted.


Check Mac Security permissions (for Google Chrome)

On a Mac, you not only need to allow browser permissions for the microphone and camera, also your browser needs security permission from Mac OSX. Normally, this is set at set-up. But if audio/video still doesn't work on a Mac, the next step would be to verify these permissions. Follow these steps to check:

1. Go to System Preferences (Mac logo > System Preferences

2. Select Security & Privacy

3. Select the tab Privacy and then select Microphone in the left bar and see if your browser (Chrome) has access. If not, please click to enable access. In this case you will need to restart Google Chrome.

4. If you have issues with the camera, please also check privacy settings for the camera. Select the camera in the left bar and check if your browser (Chrome) has access, if not, enable access. Again, this change requires a restart of our browser.
