How can Shaman help you translate your PPT content?

We understand how important it is to have the content corresponding to the native language of your clients to ensure maximum impact during a meeting. Shaman offers you a seamless way of using Machine Learning Translation to translate CLM content from the source language to the target language in a matter of minutes.

Good to know!

Machine Learning Translation quality has improved substantially in the last few years. It will fast-track your workflow process and save you a lot of time on initial translation work. However, it is not 100% accurate yet. We always recommend that your team completes a manual check to ensure the content is perfect and free of grammatical errors.

Machine Learning Translation for PPT

You need to have the ability to manually change and correct the translated file, we added this ability for PPT only (and for the HTML editor in approved email).

How to translate your content using Shaman

Select the presentation you would like to translate by clicking on the “Edit” button in the thumbnail of the presentation in your work area.

Click “Settings” from the menu on the left-hand side, then click “Source files”.

Find the source file you like to translate.

The source file needs to be a PowerPoint file to be possible to complete the translation using Shaman.

Click the “Download” dropdown menu, then select the “Translate & send to email” option, followed by the language you wish to translate the content to.

A pop-up message will appear asking you to confirm that you would like to complete the request and receive the translated content in your email. Click “Confirm” if you wish to continue.

The PowerPoint file will take a minute or two to be translated and will then arrive straight in your email inbox. You can now review the translated presentation and make any necessary changes to the presentation using PowerPoint.

How you continue from here depends on your Shaman environment:

The differences shown in this infographic are very important because when you change the source file, you change all the slides in all presentations linked to that source file.

Upload the newly translated source file to your presentation via smart update.

Select the presentation you would like to translate by clicking on the “Edit” button in the thumbnail of the presentation in your work area.

Click “Settings” from the menu on the left-hand side, then click “Source files”.

Find the Source file you like to update, then click: “Smart Update”

Select the new localized PowerPoint file for your presentation.

Shaman will now compare the two files and show a set of proposed changes based on the differences found between the two files.

Click “Confirm” to change the content of your presentation.

If you go back to your presentation, you will see all of the slides are now translated into the language of your choice.

The great thing about Smart Update is that your content will be updated, but the structure and links will remain intact.

Check out the video below to see the process from start to finish:
