Troubleshooting Shaman app

This article will help you to keep Shaman app running smoothly

You can present and share your content using the Shaman App, available for iOS (iPad), OS (Mac) and Windows.

How to install

Update your app

Whenever there is a new iOS version available, your iPad will automatically download and install. If not, please connect with your company IT support.
The windows app will not update automatically. In most cases, the installation management is done by your company IT team. Whenever there is a new version we will update your IT team and they will manage rollout within the company.

You see blank slides

If you see blank slides instead of the content of the presentation, please redownload the presentation. On the overview page you click the thumb of the presentation and then click 'redownload' to start the process.

If that still doesn't work, please follow the next steps:

a. If you are on Windows

  1. Make sure the app is installed and the presentation is downloaded.

  2. Go to the folder C:\Users\{your_user}\AppData\Roaming\Shaman\app cache

  3. You may have some hidden folders. To see them, you need to open File Explorer on the taskbar > Select View > Show > Hidden Items.

  4. Delete the company folder.

  5. Close the Shaman app.

  6. Open the app and download the presentation again.

b. If you are on a Mac

  1. Make sure the app is installed and the presentation is downloaded.

  2. Go to Macintosh/Users/{your_user}/Library/Application Support/Shaman/app-cache

  3. You may have some hidden folders. Insert hotkey <cmd>+<shift>+<.> to make Library folder visible, click library folder.

  4. Remove company folder.

  5. Fully close the Shaman app (not only close the window but offload from dock panel)

You do not see the presentation at all

If you can not see any presentations in the app, please follow these steps in Shamancloud.com (if you do not have access please request this with your content owner):

  1. Login Shamancloud

  2. Go to the presentation (edit)

  3. In Settings, select Users

  4. Remove the user with problems from this presentation

  5. Publish the presentation

  6. Go back to Settings > Users and re-add the user to the presentation

  7. Republish the presentation
