What is a presentation link

Using the presentation link you can easily navigate from one presentation to another without leaving the presentation mode or ending the call. Before we take a closer look at how to set this up, please pay close attention to the following recommendations:

  • If you add a link to navigate to a different presentation, you may want to consider adding a corresponding link in the target presentation to allow the user to return to the original presentation.

  • In order for the links to work correctly, the destination presentation needs to be "published" in Shaman.

  • The presentation links can be tested in the preview of Shaman. When clicking the link, the target presentation will open in a new tab.

How to add a presentation link

In this example, we want to link two presentations together that are already published We can start by heading to the main presentation and navigating to the slide in which we want to add the link. When hovering over the “Add” section of the menu, we find the presentation link among the options. Simply select the presentation link and mark the area you want to use as a link. (The presentation link can also be added to a link template!)

Once you are happy with the marked area, you can click the pen icon to configure the destination of the link. When you click the pen you are taken to an overview of all available presentations. Click the target presentation and then select the slide where you want the user to land. Make sure that the presentation that you are linking to has previously been exported or published in Shaman. You may then save and sync your presentation.

After syncing, the newly created link will be available in your presentation. We recommend going through the same steps and adding a link to return to the original presentation in the target presentation.
