Veeva Vault Document Owner

In Shaman you can now manually select and assign a Veeva Vault document owner when exporting content from Shaman to Veeva Vault.

Introducing Veeva Vault Document Owner

This function will help to save you time and streamline your workflow, we’ve added a handy new option that allows you to manually select a Veeva document owner in Shaman during export, giving the document owner full control over the document workflow in Veeva Vault.

Good to know!

  • There is no need to manually reassign ownership after export, the document owner selected in Shaman will be automatically assigned as owner in Veeva Vault

  • Veeva owners do not need to be Shaman users


How to assign a document owner to your content in Shaman

Whether you are exporting an email template, an email fragment or a CLM presentation, you will notice a field named Document Owner in Veeva Vault visible on the Export page:

From here, simply select the appropriate document owner from the dropdown list before exporting.

After making your selection, the document will be synced to Veeva Vault with the chosen Veeva owner automatically applied.

Good to know!

Once your content has been exported to Veeva Vault, the owner is set and cannot be changed within Shaman.


How to assign a document owner to an MLR document

When creating an MLR document in Shaman, you’ll see a field titled Document Owner in Veeva Vault on the creation page.

Proceed to enter the MLR information as usual, making sure to select the appropriate document owner from the dropdown list.

Once the MLR document is synced, the document will arrive in Veeva Vault with the selected owner assigned.
