My name is David Meireis and I´m a Senior Developer at IPG Health. My role mainly consists of content creation for both CLMs and Approved Email. I´m based in Germany.
Tell us about your workflow process before Shaman
Before using Shaman, our content creation was done in pure HTML with release packages being sent out to a publishing agency.
How did Shaman change that?
The most significant difference since using Shaman is that we don’t need to create HTML content anymore and we don’t need to generate release packages to send out to another party.
What do you like most about Shaman?
The drag-and-drop features across both the email editor and CLM builder are extremely user friendly. On a 1-10 scale of how easy it is to create content using Shaman, I would give it a 9.
On the speed scale, it also deserves a 9, as there are a variety of tools that make creating and updating content in Shaman super fast.
In addition, the help center is a very useful resource to understand how things are managed. If I have doubts that cannot be answered in the help center, the support team is always very friendly and can help within a suitable time.
What tips could you give us on how to speed up email creation?
You can save a lot of time by making use of design templates. Another great tip would be duplicating content that is similar to what you need to create, and using it as a foundation to avoid having to start from scratch each time.
What is your favorite feature in the Email Builder and why?
The image editor tool that you can use after an image has been uploaded is brilliant. You can modify or crop the image as you need it for that particular email content.
Tell us about your favorite feature in the CLM builder
Link templates really help us out – they make life so much easier when you have a lot of general menu items.
What handy features do you think are currently missing from Shaman or you would like to be improved?
We would really like to have the option to add more than one link template to a slide, for example when we need to add a special footer and a header menu. Currently, we make our link templates with some redundant links, and being able to use more than one link template in a slide would help us a lot.
